
This park is literally in the middle of the city, providing the surrounding neighborhoods with a safe and pleasant place to play or host activities. The City Park features a picnic area, playground, basketball court, softball field, skate park and volleyball area.
Land is also set aside in each new housing development to ensure adequate space for recreational activities throughout the city. Two other facilities, located in Jude Park on 6th Street and in the Maplewood Addition, provide playground equipment for children of all ages.
This site behind Irish Stadium hosts a nature pond, two regulation softball fields and playground equipment which are owned by the City of Maple Lake and managed by the Maple Lake Softball Association. After years of fundraising, eight field lights were added to the park in 2010, making night games possible for the first time.
Funded and constructed by the Maple Lake community in the Maple Lake centennial year of 1990, the 12,000-square-foot playground is a castle of towers, draw-bridges, slides, and tunnels. Recent updates have provided new equipment, basketball hoops, and games painted on the asphalt arround the playground. Centennial Playground is located east of Maple Lake Elementary on Highway 55.
Home of the Maple Lake Lakers Baseball Club, baseball has been a local attraction since the 1930s when the Lakers took two state championships. Irish Stadium was dedicated on August 16,
