1950, and has served as the home of the Lakers and the Maple Lake High School Irish baseball team. The Lakers are part of the Minnesota State Amateur Baseball organization and have been selected to cohost the 2013 Class B and C State Amateur Baseball Tournament, along with Delano and Howard Lake.

Ladybug Garden Park

Take a relaxing stroll or enjoy a picnic lunch at the Ladybug Garden located on Birch Avenue in downtown Maple Lake. The local garden has been maintained by the Ladybug Garden Club since 1991.

Lake Maria State Park

For a “Big Woods” experience, visit the lush maple, oak and basswood forest at Lake Maria State Park. A rolling terrain is perfect for hikers, backpackers, horseback riders and cross country skiers. It also features log camper cabins or backpacking camping to be reserved year-round. Lake Maria is located seven miles northeast of Maple Lake on County Road 111.

Maple Lake East Access

Maple Lake’s East Access is equipped with a concrete boat-launch ramp, trailer parking and a picnic site. It is located at the far east end of Maple Lake off County Road 37.

Maple Lake Swimming Beach

Located off of Highway 55 a half-mile east of the city, the Maple Lake swimming beach is owned by the city and equipped with a concrete plank boat-launch ramp. Maple Lake is an excellent lake for fishing, swimming, and other recreational activities. A nearby picnic area overlooks the lake and the facilities are maintained by the Maple Lake Lions Club.

Ney Park

This Wright County park, jointly-owned by the City of Maple Lake, is located off of County Road 8, 1-1/2 miles north of Maple Lake. It features 827 acres of woodlands and marsh providing varied wildlife habitat. Ney Park includes a memorial chapel, picnic area, about 7 miles of ski/hike trails, an access to Lake Mary and is the site for the Wright County Parks Environmental Education Center. In 2007, a paved trail was completed from the City of Maple Lake to the edge of the park with future plans for the county and residential developers to continue the trail through the park.

Schroeder Park

Schroeder Park is located between Maple Lake and Annandale on County Road 39 on the beautiful 837-acre Cedar Lake. This park features a 50-unit campground with electric hookup and showers, a swimming beach, play area, hiking trail, picnic grounds with shelter and volleyball court, a boat launch, a fishing pier, and modern toilets. The park is open early May through September.
