Fire Report

Maple Lake’s Volunteer Fire Department responded to emergency calls as follows during the past week:

June 25: Fire alarm at Albion Township Hall, 9020 30th St. NW. Investigation conducted with nothing found. Sixteen firemen responded to the 1:13 p.m. page.     June 30: Gas alarm at Jason Sorenson residence, 4406 Fillmore Ave. NW, Ramsey Lake Heights. Investigated with gas detector with negative results. Nine firemen responded to the 12:53 a.m. page.

June 30: Mutual aid to Waverly for sandbagging along north shore of Waverly Lake. Seven firemen responded to the 11:00 a.m. page.

Ambulance and rescue responses during the same period were as follows:  June 28: Mutual aid to Annandale at 9:21 a.m. for patient taken to Buffalo Hospital.

June 28: Dual response with Allina Medical taking patient to North Memorial Hospital at 2:52 p.m.

June 29: Dual response at 5:50 p.m. with Annandale’s North who took patient to Buffalo Hospital. Maple Lake’s ambulance was cleared from the scene at 6:15 p.m. to respond to Sugar Lake where a patient apparently dislocated a shoulder in a water softball game. He was taken to the Buffalo ER by Allina Medical Service which also responded to the emergency.  

June 30, 4:27 p.m.: Two people, injured in a swimming raft accident at Schroeder Park, were taken to the Buffalo ER.

  July 2, 1:47 a.m.: Patient with cut on forearm was taken to Buffalo ER.  

July 2, 5:28 a.m.: Melissa Keute, 11765 90th St. NW, Annandale, was in a two-car accident on Hwy. 55 and Dillon Ave. NW. She was wearing her seat belt. Ambulance and rescue personnel used a back-board and removed her from her Jeep through the back hatch. Keute was subsequently taken to the Buffalo ER.
