Playground is gift to students of St. Timothy’s

Students at St. Timothy’s School got the gift that will keep on giving last week as volunteers gathered to assemble new playground equipment for the school. The aluminum, steel and plastic Game Time Playsystem was purchased through a donation from Steve and Sharon Paumen, with a donation from the estate of Kathlyn (Sis) Pribyl covering the costs of installation materials.

Featured in the new equipment are two slides, an overhead climbing apparatus, interactive play boards and a climbing net. Older pieces of play equipment at St. Timothy’s were also removed for safety reasons. Installation of the 45’ x 60’ play equipment took place on Nov. 16 with an all volunteer crew, which was provided with free food and child care. Sue and Bob Borell served as coordinators for the project.

In the spring, a sign will be installed to recognize volunteer efforts for the project.
