Neighborhood Watch meeting set for June 26

A meeting to organize a Neighborhood Watch program in Maple Lake has been set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, at Maple Lake High School.

Neighborhood Watch is a community-based program proven to reduce crime through a community-wide effort of providing extra eyes and ears for reporting crime to the Wright County Sheriff’s Department and helping neighbors.

At the meeting on June 26, Wright County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Leander, Neighborhood watch coordinator, will provide a training session, answer any questions and address specific neighborhood concerns. Also at this meeting, a Neighborhood Watch coordinator and block captains will be selected to organize meetings and relay information to members. A phone tree will also be established to quickly disseminate information to members.

Anyone with questions can call the Maple Lake City Hall at 963-3611.
