Lake Region celebrates 75 years

Established in 1931, Lake Region Co-op in Maple Lake has continued to offer extensive customer service and quality goods for the past 75 years.

On Saturday, August 12, from 9:09 a.m. until 3:03 p.m., the co-op will be celebrating 75 years of successful service to the community through a variety of scheduled events.

Dick Behm, manager of the Country Store at Lake Region, has arranged for a line-up of antique cars and tractors to be on display. Also featured will be face-painting for children and a petting zoo with an assortment of animals, including St. Bernard puppies, horses, rabbits, goats, miniature ponies, a donkey, a llama, and an alpaca.

Local groups and organizations have chosen to take part in the celebration as well.

See the August 9 issue of the Messenger for more details about the celebration of Lake Region Co-op’s 75 years as well as its history.
