Maple Lake High School names AAA winners

Maple Lake High School Seniors Sarah Latour and Jade Kotila have been selected as this year’s winners of the Academics, Arts and Athletics (AAA) award.

The honor is extended annually to high school seniors who have outstanding accomplishments in the three areas of academics, arts and athletics, along with a record of volunteer activities and service to their communities.

Sarah, the daughter of Robert and Carol Latour, has been involved in volleyball, basketball, softball and track. In volleyball she lettered for four years, she was second team all-conference for two years and first team all-conference for one year, she was also a member of the first conference championship volleyball team in school history. She lettered in basketball for two years, and was voted captain by her teammates in her senior year.

Jade, son of Aaron and Trish Kotila, has been a member of the National Honor Society for four years. He has been involved with Peer Tutoring in his junior and senior year, and Student of the Season and attended the CMC Leadership program in his sophomore year. He earned the MSHSL Gold Certificate for four years, and was a member of the Academic all-conference team in each of the last three years.
