Betty M. Stuhr, age 80, of Annandale, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 13, 2011, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale, with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating. The pallbearers were Justin Stuhr, Jeremy Stuhr, Eric and Aaron Wurm, Jeff Steinhoff, and Pat Juno. The music for the service was provided by Connie Nelson and Ardis Nelson. Burial was at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Chatham Township, Maple Lake. Friends called from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, and 8:30-9:30 a.m., Friday, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There was a prayer service at 7 p.m., Thursday.
Betty Marie Stuhr was born March 31, 1931, in Buffalo to Walter and Mary (Pavlik) Kotilinek and in 1949 graduated from Maple Lake High School. She married Robert E. Stuhr at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church on November 21, 1950, and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1972. She was a homemaker and worked for Bernatello’s Pizza and for Annandale Head Start as a foster grandmother. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed dancing, card playing, and having coffee with the ladies.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Dick and Jan Stuhr of Annandale, Bruce and Betty Stuhr of Annandale, Connie Stuhr of Alexandria, Darrin and Angie Stuhr of Eden Prairie; nine grandchildren: Shannon Hilsgen, Justin Stuhr, Eric Wurm, Aaron Wurm, Jackie Steinhoff, Jeremy Stuhr, Jessica Stuhr, Noah Stuhr, Avery Stuhr; five great-grandchildren: Alex Hilsgen, Nick Hilsgen, Maddie Stuhr, Matthew Steinhoff, Ryan Steinhoff; sisters-in-law, Joan (Pat) Juno and Faye (Marvin) Paumen, and brother-in-law, Donald Jude. Her husband, Bob Stuhr, and sister, Margaret Jude, preceded her in death.
