Clifton P. Jude, Monticello

Clifton P. Jude, age 88, of Monticello, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Annandale Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake, with Fr. Michael Becker as the Celebrant. Pallbearers will be Jim, Todd and Kurd Jude, Paul Leason, Dale Fuller, David Marohn, Matthew Miller and Grant Leason. Sarah Goelz and Krista Elsenpeter-Tarbox will provide the music for the service. Burial will follow at St. Timothy’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday, both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Parish prayers will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Clifton Paul Jude was born February 10, 1924, in Maple Lake to Paul and Margaret (Reordan) Jude. He graduated from Maple Lake High School and lived his entire life in the Maple Lake area. Cliff served his country in the Merchant Marines during World War II. On August 31, 1948, he was united in marriage to Rita Ann Munstenteiger at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. Cliff worked for Jude Candy and Tobacco in Maple Lake for many years. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church. Cliff enjoyed sports, golfing, traveling, spending his winters in Texas and spending time with his family. He is survived by his seven children and their spouses, Christine and Bruce Fuller of Monticello, Ben and Terry of Maple Lake, Patty and Merle Marohn of Annandale, Andy and Susan Jude of Howard Lake, Michelle and Tim Pippo of Maple Lake, Mary and Curtis Leason of Coon Rapids and Lisa and Brad Miller of Annandale; brother, Fr. Robert Jude of Annandale; sister-in-law, Eileen Jude of Maple Lake; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rita, and brother, Jack.
