Gymnastics earns win over Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted

On Thursday, February 10, the gymnastics team had another home meet. Home meets are always exciting because it gives the Maple Lake gymnastics team a slight advantage. They know just where everything is and are used to all the equipment. Of course, one is hardly able to say this is the only reason for the team's success on Thursday at their last meet of the regular season. It took talent and skill as well. All in all, it turned out to be a close meet. Maple Lake came out victorious with 129.3. Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted wasn't too far off with a team total of 125.175. 
On vault, Jordan Sifferle took 1st when the judges gave her a score of 9.15. Nina Simonette was next with an 8.8 in 2nd place. Not far behind was Courtney Couette in 3rd with her score of 8.65. Bonnie Jude was in 6th with 8.55 and Heather Schlueter came in 8th with 8.5. 
Then it was time for bars. Schlueter showed her skill by taking 2nd with 7.675. Scoring 7.625, Couette was next in 3rd place. In 4th place was Sifferle and her total of 7.45. Courtney Pribyl got 8th place by scoring 7.15. Next was Jude in 10th with 6.55.
Beam was next. In this, Couette took 1st place with 8.8. Not far behind was Jude in 4th with 7.4. Totaling 7.3 Sifferle earned 5th place. Schlueter's score was 7.1, allowing her to take 6th place. In 7th, Simonette totaled 6.05.
