Gymnasts fall just behind Little Falls

Maple Lake gymnasts competed in their last home meet of the 2012-2013 season on Friday, Jan. 25. They fought a tough battle and ended up right on the Little Falls Flyers’ heels at the end of the evening. Maple Lake finished with a final score of 128.4, and Little Falls with a score of 129.125. The coaches were excited to see their teams’ improvements. Coach Paul Fouquette simply said, “Vault rocked!” The team score on vault was 34.275. Jordan Sifferle placed second, with a score of 9.125. Courtney Pribyl came in third, with a score of 8.6. Delaney Sifferle, Marisa Henrikson, and Heather Schlueter also placed in the top ten for vault. The team score for bars was 30.2. Scoring a 7.95, Pribyl placed second. Jordan Sifferle came in third, with a score of 7.725. Ellie Haney came in fourth, with a score of 7.375. Schlueter and Halle Geyen also placed in the top ten on bars.
