Harvey G. Berglund, Buffalo

Harvey George Berglund, age 81, of rural Buffalo passed away on Dec. 30, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. 
Funeral services were Jan. 2, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Pastor Tom Heyd officiated. Interment followed at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation was on Jan. 2 one hour prior to services at the church.
Casket bearers were Ryan Duske, Nick Berglund, Shane Berglund, Jesse Miller, Josh Miller and Jeb Miller.
Harvey was born on Oct. 22, 1929, in Rockford Township, Wright County, the son of Walter and Elsa Engel Berglund. He was baptized at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Crawford Lake. He was also instructed in the Lutheran catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. Harvey honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. On June 15, 1957, he was joined in holy marriage with LaVonne Fischer at Zion Lutheran Church. God blessed their marriage with four children. He hauled milk for over 50 years. He started with canned milk and later switched over to bulk. Through the years he hauled milk to creameries in Buffalo, Monticello, Annandale and for many years to Winsted.
Survived by his wife, LaVonne; children: Sheila (Gene) Blandford and Shane Berglund, all of rural Buffalo, Stacy (Brad) Duske of Montrose and Shelley (Jeff) Fobbe of Maple Lake; nine grandchildren: Nick Berglund, Jesse, Jeb and Josh (Melissa) Miller, Ryan, Evan and Kaitlin Duske and Shania and Justin Fobbe; two great-granddaughters: Kaylee Scheubel and Sarah Miller; sisters and brothers: Lydia Heins, Lillian Conzet, Stanley (Myrna) Berglund, Carol (Norman) Oswald, Mary (Harvey) Denzin and “Sonny” (Diane) Berglund; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Elsa Berglund; sister, Janet Berglund; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sarah and Clarence Fischer.
