Irish girls drop two conference games

by Rachel Latour Monday night’s game was the first of three games for the Irish throughout the week, as the Royalton Royals came to town for a nonconference matchup, which the Irish won 47-43. The Irish got off to a slow start and Royalton jumped to a 14-4 lead in the first five minutes of the game. The Irish spent the half fighting their way back into the game, rotating 10 girls on and off the floor, looking for ways to change any aspect of the game to go in their favor. Halftime came with the Irish trailing 22-21.

The Irish gained their first lead early in the second half, which was the second of seven lead changes throughout the game. Trailing by five (34-39) with a total of eight minutes to play, the Irish finished the game on a 13-4 run to seal the victory by four points
