Kevin M. Knickerbocker, Maple Lake

Kevin M. Knickerbocker, age 59, of Maple Lake, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale with his family at his side. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2012, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Maple Lake, with Pastor Peter J. Martinson officiating. Pallbearers were Steve Potter, Todd Potter, Gordy Yager, Curt Taylor, Brian Lengyel and Roger Leech. Marlene Mohwinkel and Pastor Steven King provided the music for the service. Burial followed at Maple Lake Community Cemetery. Friends called from 3-7 p.m., Sunday, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake, and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. A prayer service was held at 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Kevin Michael Knickerbocker was born August 9, 1952, in St. Louis Park to Dale and Mary (Sieg) Knickerbocker. On April 29, 1989, he was united in marriage to Teresa “Tina” Gagnon at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Annandale. Kevin worked as a carpenter for Johnson Brother’s Construction in Litchfield and was a member of the Carpenters Union for 17 years. Kevin enjoyed riding motorcycles, building motorcycles, hunting, fishing, planting trees, tending to the lawn and hanging out with friends. He was a loyal friend, a true character and was a magnet in how others gathered to him. He is survived by his wife, Tina; sons, Mike and Dale, both of Maple Lake; mother, Mary; and brother, Todd, and his wife, Kelley, of Annandale; and nieces and nephews.
