Lightning win Mora Invitational

Annandale-Maple Lake Lightning wrestlers wasted little time getting back into the season last week as they traveled to Orono on Thursday, Jan. 6, and Mora on Saturday, Jan. 8.
The team picked up two dual wins on Thursday in Orono as they downed the host Spartans and defeated Zimmerman.
On Saturday the grapplers joined nine other teams vying for individual champion honors in the annual Mora Invitational. Both events proved to be successful ventures for the Lightning.
Lightning vs. Orono
A depleted roster posed little threat to the Lightning as WCC foe Orono offered up nine forfeits.
The Lightning scored wins in the first 13 weight classes. Nick Anderson (130), Brady Kalla (140) and Cal Redemske (171) all scored falls in their matches, giving A-ML a 66-0 lead after the 171-pound weight class.
