Lois Theresa Price, Maple Lake

Lois Theresa Price, age 80 of Maple Lake, passed away on July 23, 2013, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on Dec. 4, 1932, the daughter of George and C. Mae (Holmberg) LaPlant. Lois was joined in marriage to Delano “Del” Price in January 1984. Lois was a “jack of all trades” who enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, woodworking and a multitude of other hobbies. She was very organized and worked at cleaning homes, Road Runner, Wonder Alls and Tonka Toys. She was an excellent calligrapher. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino but always had time for anyone, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Steve (Donna) Wiczek of Nisswa; Chuck Wiczek, of Cushing; Debbie Rosas, of Anaheim, Calif.; and Mary Krueger (Byron TenEyck) of Alexandria; aunt, Lou Ahlm, of Buffalo; siblings, Mark (Nancy) LaPlant, of St. Cloud; Joan Raisanen, of Buffalo; Yvonne Degrar, of Burnsville; Kay Bastin, of Delano; and Basil LaPlant, of St. Cloud; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marlys; son, Michael Wiczek; husbands, Ralph Raisanen and Delano Price; infant brother, Stanley George; brother-in-law, John Raisanen, and nephew, Patrick Raisanen. Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, July 27, at 11 a.m. at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. A visitation was Friday, July 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo. A Rosary was said at 4 p.m. and parish prayers were said at 7 p.m. Further visitation was on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Buffalo. The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, assisted the family with arrangements.
