Michael D. Fisher, age 56, of Maple Lake, died at his residence on Wednesday, March 30, 2011.
A Celebration of his Life was held at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake. Friends called from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.  
Michael Duane Fisher was born December 24, 1954 in Beloit, WI, to Harold and Juanita (Hall) Fisher. After high school graduation, Mike attended Mankato State University. On September 9, 1978, he married the love of his life, Maureen McGuire, in Alexandria, MN. Mike worked as a Community Development Director for 20 years, then as a home builder.
Mike enjoyed golfing; he participated in the Whispering Pines Men’s Golf League. He loved to travel, especially to Mexico, and was a music enthusiast. He was an honest and loyal man, whose greatest love was his family.
Mike will be deeply missed by his wife, Maureen; children, Erik (significant other, Emily Walters) of Minneapolis, Karl (significant other, Caryn Terlecky) of California, and Hannah (significant other, Tyler Haag) of Minneapolis; parents, Harold and Juanita Fisher of Alexandria, MN; siblings, Mark, Patti and Steve Fisher all of Minnesota; his loyal companion, Katie; and other family and friends.
