Nathalie A. Twardy, Maple Lake

Nathalie A. Twardy, 72, of Maple Lake, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Park View Care Center in Buffalo after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Graveside services will be 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Assembly Area 5. Fr. John Meyer will officiate at the graveside. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake. Nathalie Anne Twardy was born on Aug. 2, 1940, in Duluth to Earl and Myrtle (Keenan) Baer. She graduated from North St. Paul High School and went on to receive a B.A. degree from Metropolitan State University. On Nov. 24, 1972, Nathalie was united in marriage to Robert Twardy in St. Paul. Together, they lived in Maple Grove for 19 years and Clemmons, N.C., for five years before retiring in Maple Lake. Nat worked as an accountant for Target Corp. and Sara Lee Corp. She is survived by her husband, Robert, of Maple Lake; stepson, John and Michelle Twardy, of Monticello; stepdaughter, Julie and Bill Miles, of Andover; four grandchildren: Nicole Balthazor, Nick Solberg, Emily Twardy and Samantha Twardy; two great-grandchildren, Mary and Morgan Balthazor; and sister-in-law, Cookie Baer, of Salem, Ore.
