Richard Otis Noling, Buffalo

Richard Otis Noling, age 92, of Buffalo, and formerly of Maple Lake, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Parkview Care Center in Buffalo. Richard was born on Feb. 2, 1921, in Clinton, IL, to Earl and Bertha (Beerman) Noling. Richard honorably served his country during World War II in the European Theater. On March 23, 1949, Richard was joined in holy marriage to Lorene Matthews; their marriage was blessed with three children. Richard farmed all his life, but he also worked at Honeywell as an electroplater from 1951 until his retirement in 1982. He loved to talk, go for coffee every morning, camp and play cards. Richard was also a mechanic and a very talented handyman who could fix anything. Richard is survived by his sons: Dennis Ray (Denise) Noling, of Richfield, and Richard Dan (Deborah) Noling, of Annandale; daughter, Michele (Duane) Raymond, of Buffalo; seven grandchildren: Kristina, Jason, Nichole, Clinton, Garret, Kody and Brennen; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lorene, in 2008; parents, Earl and Bertha Noling; brothers, Eldon Noling and Mervin Noling; sisters, Marie Wright, Josephine Coen, Ruby Leer and June Roberts; and grandson, Richard Dan Noling Jr. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Online condolences can be made at www.thepetersonchapel.com The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo is serving the family.
