Shirley Ann Fouquette, age 78, of rural Buffalo passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at The Annandale Care Center.
 A Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley Fouquette was held on Tuesday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo. Father David Hennen was the Celebrant. Casket bearers were Aaron Fouquette, Chris Fouquette, Elsa Fouquette, Miranda Filipek, Mark Decker, Carol Zeman, Rita Hegle and Valerie Botzet. Entombment followed at St. Francis Cemetery. A visitation was held on Monday, June 27, from 4-8 p.m. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m. 
 Shirley Fouquette was born on March 27, 1933, in Buffalo, the daughter of Claude and Esther Blake Marquette. On June 9, 1953, Shirley Ann Marquette and Francis J. Fouquette were joined in holy marriage at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo. God blessed their marriage with six children. Shirley was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo.
Survived by loving husband of 58 years: Francis J. “Frank” Fouquette; sons: Thomas (Lisa) Fouquette and Richard (Peggy) Fouquette; daughters: Louise (Dwight) Filipek, Mary Kortum and Amy Fouquette, all of Buffalo; grandchildren: Christopher Fouquette, Aaron (Angie) Fouquette, Miranda Filipek, Elsa Fouquette, Ryan Fouquette, Alison Kortum, Tony Fouquette and Angie Kortum; sisters and brothers: Berneal (Jerome) Decker of Waverly, Marcella LePage of Howard Lake, Lauren (Ginny) Marquette of Buffalo, Mary (Robert T.) Wurm of Maple Lake, Gordon (Shirley) Marquette and Roger (Mary) Marquette of Buffalo and Jody (Ron) Rassat of Maple Lake; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 Preceded in death by her parents: Claude and Esther Marquette, an infant son on November 9, 1955, and by a grandson: Benjamin Fouquette, on August 6, 2010.
