Dress-up days for the week will be as follows: Monday, Pajama Day; Tuesday, Twin/Super Hero Day; Wednesday, Ugly Sweater Day; Thursday, Pink Out Day; and Friday, Spirit Day. Pink Out Day and Spirit Day will both feature efforts to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. At the girls’ basketball game on Feb. 3, spectators are invited to wear pink, the color of the effort to defeat breast cancer. At the boys’ basketball game on Feb. 4, spectators are invited to wear black to symbolize the effort to black out cancer. All funds raised from activities at both games will be donated to the Wright County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. Other Snowcoming activities include crowning of kings and queens in grades 7th through 12th, a Friday pep fest and the Battle of the Grades, which will feature daily events such as a ping pong tourney, a basketball shootout and a trivia contest. A dance has been set for Sat., Feb. 5, from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Students with pre-paid tickets to the “Jingle Ball” in December, which was cancelled due to inclement weather, can use those tickets at this event.
