She was a member of the MLHS Class of 1965, was hired as a teacher in 1973 and was selected to serve as high school principal in 1985 ... Honored at the Irish Gala were local veterans who were to serve as this year’s parade grand marshals. Winning Maple Lake Chamber of Commerce awards at the Gala were Roger’s BP Amoco as Business of the Year and Wendy Sylvester as Chamber Member of the Year ... Selected as Miss Maple Lake 2010 during the 33rd St. Patrick’s Day Festival was Danae McGregor. Steve Dooher was sentenced for the October 2008 car crash that killed three of his friends: Andrea Northern, 23, of South Haven, Michael DeMars, 22, of Maple Lake, and Derek Kammerer, 22, of Maple Lake. Dooher was sentenced to 48 months, stayed, and a period of one year in the Wright County jail with a 10-year probation. Family members of the three friends who died offered their support to Dooher and asked the court for leniency ...
