Yvonne M. Potter, age 74, of Buffalo died Thursday, December 23, 2010, at her home. Graveside services will take place at a later date at Prospect Hill Cemetery, La Crescent, MN.
Yvonne Marie Potter was born May 11, 1936, at Sparta, WI. She graduated from Central High School in 1953 in LaCrosse, WI.  She lived in LaCrescent, MN prior to her marriage to Robert Potter where she then lived on Little Maple Lake. In her lifetime Von managed her own business, worked as a waitress, managed the Maple Lake Legion Club, lived in Phoenix, AZ, and for a short time in Cypress, TX, before returning to Minnesota. She was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake, and enjoyed gardening, yard work, antiques, and homemaking.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Kari Shockley; grandchildren, Emily and Joey Shockley, all of Cypress, TX, grandchildren, Nicholas Shockley and Amanda Higbee of Blaine, MN, and three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Gracie and Lillian Marie Higbee; and former husband, Robert Potter Jr.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Popenfuss) Holt, father, George Holt, sister, Louise Brown, brother, Richard Hoenshel, and former husband, Joseph Shockley.
