Junior Olympics: Strub eighth all-around

A year ago, Daryn Strub made his first trip to the Men’s Junior Olympic National Gymnastics Championships. With the top 24 all-around gymnasts qualifying to compete in all categories in the finals, Strub sneaked in at 23rd all-around and improved to ninth all-around in the main event.
At the 2014 Men’s Junior Olympics National Championships, from May 7-11 in Long Beach, Calif., the Maple Lake seventh grader placed eighth all-around in the finals, despite some challenges along the way.
