Hennen shoots his first buck

Evan Hennen, shown with the four-point buck he shot Sunday morning in the Pengilly area, was as proud as a peacock that evening when he got to show off the deer to his grandparents, Kathy and Daryl Hennen. The excited youngster told them they had to come out right away to see the deer which was hauled home on the top of his father, Brad’s, vehicle.
According to Brad, Evan was in a stand with his uncle, Andy,  Sunday (Nov. 16) morning when he chose that stand because it had a heater in it. They spotted the deer about an hour later and Evan took a rifle  shot at about  80 yards across a swamp, hitting the deer in the heart. This was the first deer for Evan in his first year of hunting. He is the son of Christy and Brad Hennen.
