Family and friends gathered at Holy Cross Lutheran Church for Joshua Guimond’s 12th anniversary prayer and remembrance service last Tuesday. Joshua disappeared from St. John’s University in Collegeville in 2002. Holy Cross Pastor Culynn Curtis opened the evening with scripture readings and a few words of hope. Brian Guimond, Joshua’s father, along with other family and friends, shared their precious memories. Pastor Curtis then began the lighting ceremony by lighting a candle from the baptismal candle and passing it around the room so all in attendence could light their candles. The lighting of the candle is meant to keep hope alive.
