Bison girls hockey wins conference title

 

The Bison girls hockey team cruised to an 11-1 road victory against Chisago Lakes, Tuesday, Jan. 20.
Junior forward, Abby Halluska, scored a career-high five goals to lead the Bison attack.
After a fairly even first period in which the Bison grabbed a 2-0 lead on goals by Halluska, the Bison erupted for six goals in the second. The Wildcats got their only goal 13 minutes into the second period which made it 6-1 at that point.
The Bison put a season-high 24 shots on goal in the second period, coach Ray Dahlof said.
That’s when Payton Rudiger got the first of her two goals and Halluska completed a hat trick six minutes into the period. Kirsten Olson and Taylor Thompson added goals, giving the Bison a commanding 8-1 lead going into the third period.
Halluska scored two more goals in the third period and added an assist for a six-point game.
