Trevor Pribyl, diagnosed with a brain stem tumor four years ago, had a pretty big request when his Mom, Rachel, asked what he’d like to do for his 10th birthday. The St. Tim’s fourth-grader told her, “Mom, I want to have one of your fun parties for my whole class and I want to take all the presents and give them to other sick kids at the hospital.”
Family friend, Heather Haney, took his request one step further inviting facebook friends to “Pack the Suburban,”  hoping that when Trevor makes his next trip to the University of Minnesota on April 27 he’ll be handing out quite a few more gifts than the 15 or 16 his classmates will bring to his birthday party on Saturday.
“I saw when his Mom posted on facebook that he wanted to have a party and bring all his presents to kids at the hospital. I responded that we’d like to donate something too,” said Haney. “Then, the more I thought about it, the more I thought, I bet more people would like to send a gift too- that’s when we came up with the ‘Pack the Suburban’ idea.”
Anyone wanting to help ’Pack the Suburban’ can drop a gift with Anna Pribyl at Lake Central Insurance, with Heather Haney 763-528-0555, or at MLHS to either Heather Haney or Mr. Youngs, or the Pribyls house 763-688-1025. Unwrapped gifts are the best so Trevor knows who each gift should go to.
In light of Monday’s appointment, the family would like to have all gifts collected by this Saturday, April 26th.
