David G. Scheiber, age 68, of Becker died Monday, April 13, 2015 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Chatham Township.
David George Scheiber was born November 20, 1946 in St. Cloud to Tom and Doris (Farris) Scheiber. He was raised in Maple Lake where he attended St. Timothy’s Catholic School and Maple Lake Public School. On September 5, 1982 David was united in marriage to Jenny Mross at the little white church in Maple Lake. He started in the sod business in 1961. In 1985 he started his own sod business with his wife Jenny and son Tom. David loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, bonfires at Rock Lake, family, friends and especially living on the farm where he loved to drive around with his dog Rosey.
David is survived by his wife Jenny of Becker; daughter, Kelly (Clyde) Rundquist of Elbow Lake; son, Tom and special friend Missy of Becker; sister, Christine (Jim) Spence of Grey Eagle; brother, Dale (Barb) of Albany; grandchildren, Chelsea, Cody, Kasey and Cole Rundquist; six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry and sister, Mary Jindrich.
The pallbearers were Terry, Bob, & Rebecca Scheiber, Briana Ross, Bill White, and Mary Helgeson. The honorary pallbearers will be Gary & Sonny Carlson, Marvin Smith, Leroy Campbell, and Roger Fobbe. The music for the service will be provided by Sarah Goelz and Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
