Oct. 20 Minutes
The regular meeting of the Maple Lake Township Board was called to order by Chairman Gerry Giebenhain at 7 p.m. Supervisors Ronald Wolff and Tom Neumann, Treasurer Judy Neumann and Clerk Dick Hogan were present.
The minutes of the Sept. 15 meeting were read by Chairman Giebenhain. As no additions or corrections were noted, a motion was offered by Wolff, seconded by Neumann, to accept as read. Carried 3-0.
A group of local citizens was present to express their concerns about a sex offender being placed in a Maple Lake Township home. Present to address those concerns were members of the Wright County Sheriff's Department, other corrections officers from the county and Town attorney, Mike Couri. No action was taken by the board in response to expressed concerns.
Anthony Janckila, 2999 Bishop Ave. NW, requested a lot line adjustment and the road serving his property. Motion by Wolff, seconded by Giebenhain, to approve the request to Wright County Planning & Zoning with the stipulation that the Town will not maintain the road. Carried 3-0.
Al Hudek, 4067 58th Street NW, requested approval of two entitlement sites on 20 acres located in section 35, PID210-100-353102. Motion by Giebenhain, seconded by Wolff, to approve to Wright County Planning & Zoning for their approval. Carried 3-0.
Dean Voss, contractor for the reconstruction of the Larry Pribyl home, requested a variance to allow the replacement of the existing 2,366 sq. ft. one level walkout 46.5 ft. from the ordinary high-water mark, with a new one story walk-out dwelling, attached garage, with a half story above the garage. Total reconstruction estimated at 6,000 sq. ft. to be built 50 feet from the high-water mark. A motion was offered by Wolf, seconded by Neumann, to approve the request to Wright County Planing & Zoning with the stipulation that the new construction be set back 6 feet from the front of the existing deck. Carried 3-0.
All warrants were paid as presented.
As no additional business was bought before the board, Chairman Giebenhain adjourned the regular meeting at 9:20 p.m.
