County board honors law enforcement, citizens

At any given work shift, a law enforcement officer never knows when he or she will be placed in a life-threatening situation. It’s one of the occupational hazards. At the May 17 meeting of the Wright County Board of Commissioners, Sheriff Joe Hagerty came before the board to approve a proclamation naming May 15-21 as National Law Enforcement Officers Week in Wright County, as well as giving out awards to sheriff’s department employees and citizens who stepped up in times of need to help their fellow man in life-threatening situations.
