Friday, May 27th, 2016, was officially announced as Mrs. Harlan Day at Maple Lake Elementary School. The day started off with the elementary staff hosting a potluck breakfast for her in the media center. Soon students started to arrive at school, settle into their classrooms then gathered in the gymnasium for the beginning of her big day. The celebration was led by Mrs. Weninger as she reminded staff and students that they were gathered on this day to celebrate Mrs. Harlan and her 12 years as the school principal. A crown was proudly handed over to Mrs. Harlan which meant the program was ready to begin and she was the star of the show.
