Back in 2008 when Wright County and the City of Monticello decided to partner up to buy the massive Bertram Chain of Lakes Park property owned by the Minneapolis YMCA, there was no guarantee it was going to get completed. With a price tag of $20 million, it was an ambitious plan that had no guarantee of complete purchase or success.
