Maple Lake Public Schools welcome nine new staff

Maple Lake schools welcomed nine new members to its staff this fall.
Tim Tungseth joins the school district as the new activities director and seventh grade American history teacher. He brings with him experience in both subjects as the former athletic director and social studies teacher at Crosby-Ironton High School. He was there for three years before moving to Maple Lake.
Originally from Fergus Falls, Tungseth has also spent two years teaching at Trinity Christian School in Williston, North Dakota, where he was a high school social studies teacher, assistant athletic director and assistant boys basketball coach.
He spent one year at Stephen-Argyle Central High School in northwest Minnesota teaching junior and senior high social studies and also served as an assistant boys basketball coach and assistant track and field coach.
Tungseth has a bachelors degree in social studies secondary education and a minor in coaching from Concordia College (Moorhead) and a masters degree in sport and athletic administration from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA.
