Irish girls serve up losses

Morgan Scheiber stretches for the dig and successfully returns the ball to Hill-Murray.

The Maple Lake volleyball team is 19-1 overall and 5-0 in Central Minnesota Conference standings after two more wins last week during homecoming.
The Irish hosted Hill-Murray on Tuesday, Oct. 4, and defeated them 3-1. Two days later, on Thursday, Oct. 6, the home team hosted Kimball and defeated the Cubs 3-0.
“So far this season we have been playing really well together,” junior outside hitter Mollie Scheiber said. “What's working for us is that we are sticking together and playing as a team. We all have stepped it up this year and I believe we all are playing our role very well.”
The Irish defeated the private metro school, Hill-Murray, with game scores of 25-18, 17-25, 25-18 and 25-18 in the non-conference match-up.
