The Maple Lake volleyball team continues to win as the Irish prepare for the post season.
The Irish kicked off the week on Tuesday, Oct. 11, with a big win over No. 2 in state Class A ranked Mayer Lutheran 3-1. Two days later, on Thursday, Oct. 13, Maple Lake earned another big win by defeating Central Minnesota Conference rival Paynesville 3-0.
“Mayer Lutheran was a very tough team. We had to play our best to beat them and we knew that coming into that Tuesday night,” junior outside hitter for the Irish, Mollie Scheiber, said. “Mr. Kiebel told us to play with our hearts that night and I believe that we did that. Everyone of us girls never gave up and gave it our all.”
