Illness and injury assailed the Maple Lake gymnastics team last week, costing the Irish a 118.825 to 126.95 loss to Annandale, Thursday, Dec. 15, in Annandale.
Gracie Elsenpeter, the Irish’s stand-out athlete early on in the season, was out after the second rotation Thursday night, due to injury.
“We were not at our best as a team,” coach Kaitlyn Helmbrecht said.
