Ball players earn awards at banquet


The Maple Lake girls basketball team held its annual awards banquet, Monday, March 20, to celebrate a 12-14 season, as well as individual accomplishments. Above, front row, from left, Shelby Larson earned Academic All Conference honors as well as senior Academic All State honors; Grace Heying was voted Most Improved by her teammates and earned Academic All Conference honors; Kaleigh Beehler tied a school record with six blocks in a single game; Morgan Scheiber was voted Defensive Player of the Year, and was named to the All Central Minnesota Conference Second Team; Calli Maki earned Academic All Conference honors.
