MLHS students experience Spain

Twenty-seven Maple Lake High School students spent two weeks over Spring Break exploring cities in Spain. Here some stop to pose near the entrance of the Retiro Park in Madrid. Twenty-seven Maple Lake students got out of the classroom in a big way for some intense hands-on learning recently that left them changed and eager for more.
On Tuesday, March 21, the group of juniors, seniors and three adult chaperones departed for Spain to learn about the Spanish language and culture better than they ever could in the classroom. It was a two-week trip that brought them to six cities across the country and a weeklong stay with a Spanish family.
