Lakers seeded second heading into state

The The Maple Lake Lakers (22-11) secured the second seed in the Minnesota State Tournament last week to set up a first-round game against St. Joseph in Hamburg on Friday, August 18, at 5 p.m. to kick off the tournament.
The St. Joseph Joe’s were runners up in the Sauk Valley League and have a record of 14-8 on the year. Hutchinson took the top seed while Buffalo took the third and Howard Lake the fourth for the North Star League.
