Fine day for a Fly-in

Chapter 878 of the Experimental Aircraft Association celebrated general aviation at the Maple Lake Airport last weekend. On Saturday, Sept. 9, pilots from around the state flew in for the second annual camp-out at the airport, chili feed, bonfire and live music. On Sunday, Sept. 10, pilots and the general public had the chance to view some of the aircraft and enjoy a pork chop dinner. The 31-year-old dinner is a fundraising event for the chapter with money raised going toward education and the safety missions of the organization, as well as youth aviation promotion.
