The Maple Lake football team ended its season as the Section 4AA runner-up after a valiant battle against a fast Minneapolis North at a snowy, final game, Friday, Nov. 3, in Monticello.
The Irish cruised through the section tournament the week before, winning by double-digit numbers over Concordia Academy and Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, and they weren’t an easy mark for the metro team who ultimately claimed the 44-30 victory.
