True Friends unveils new indoor riding arena for therapy horse program

A new indoor riding facility has been completed at Camp Courage in Maple Lake. As part of True Friends, the True Strides Therapy Horse program allows individuals with disabilities to experience the joy of horseback riding while receiving physical, emotional, cognitive and behavioral therapeutic benefits.
The new facility, dedicated at an open house on Sept. 20 as the Dudley Equine Center and Sanner Arena, is truly remarkable. The arena boasts a full set of bleachers for parents or caregivers to watch their riders take lessons as well as overhead heating, sprinkler and sound systems for year-round use. There are four oversized stalls and a wash station to house the equine staff as well as a fully-equipped tack room. The facility also has a classroom and lounge for horsemanship lessons and arts and crafts for riders.
