Clayton E. Morningstar, Maple Lake

Clayton E. Morningstar, age 88, of Maple Lake, died Friday, February 4, 2011, at the VA Medical Center, St. Cloud.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Maple Lake, with Rev. Peter J. Martinson officiating. The pallbearers were Duane, Chad, Travis and Alex Morningstar, Jeff, Kyle and Kris Jackson, Chad and Sheila Barsness, and Mike and Natalie Cox. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends called from 4-8 p.m., Monday, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake, and at the church one hour prior to services. There was a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Monday.

Leo Joseph Vieau, Howard Lake

Leo Joseph Vieau, age 89, of rural Howard Lake passed away on Monday, January 10th, 2011, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Leo Vieau was held on Thursday, January 13, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. Casket bearers were John Robinson, James Allbee, Philip Vieau, Jeff Brand, Debbie Brand and Dean Brand. Father Timothy Cloutier was the Celebrant. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Waverly. A visitation was held on Thursday, January 13, one hour prior to Mass at the church.

Marian M. Thurk, age 89 of Annandale, died Friday, January 21, 2011, at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Silver Creek, with Rev. David Fretham officiating. Pallbearers are Rev. Hal Hoekstra, David Johnson, Bob LaCroix, Randy Gordon, Brian Gordon and Ed Swingley. Delores Hayes provided the music for the service. Burial is in Corinna Cemetery. Friends can call from 4-7 p.m., Monday, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. A prayer service will be at 6 p.m., Monday, with Rev. Hal Hoekstra officiating. Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Silver Creek.

Marcella Wenninger, New Ulm

Marcella Wenninger, 82, of New Ulm, died Sunday, February 27, 2011, at her home.  
Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter presiding. Burial followed at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Cemetery in Lafayette. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, and 7 to 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm. A parish prayer service was at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 24, at The Church of St. Francis in Buffalo.  Father David Hennen will be the Celebrant. A time of gathering will be held at the church on Thursday morning, February 24, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Lawrence “Larry” F. Carlson, age 91, of Buffalo, formerly of Annandale, died Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Parkview Care Center, Buffalo.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake, with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey B. Palmer officiating. Pallbearers were Adam, Glenn and Cliff Tornell, Chris and Ron Carlson, and Walt Horton. Music for the service was provided by Myrna Jude, and Brian and Molly Fitzpatrick. Burial will follow at a later date at Albion Evangelical United Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends called beginning at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, at the church. Memorials are preferred to Parkview Care Center.
