Shirley Ann Fouquette, age 78, of rural Buffalo passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at The Annandale Care Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley Fouquette was held on Tuesday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo. Father David Hennen was the Celebrant. Casket bearers were Aaron Fouquette, Chris Fouquette, Elsa Fouquette, Miranda Filipek, Mark Decker, Carol Zeman, Rita Hegle and Valerie Botzet. Entombment followed at St. Francis Cemetery. A visitation was held on Monday, June 27, from 4-8 p.m. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m.
Warren E. Starry, age 79, of Maple Lake died Tuesday, September 6, 2011.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2011, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake, with Fr. Michael Izen as the Celebrant. The urn bearer was Doug Starry. Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox and Sarah Geolz provided the music for the service. Burial was in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Chatham Township. Friends called from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, and 9-10 a.m., Monday, both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Parish prayers were at 7 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral chapel.
Vera M. Wurm, age 91 of Annandale died Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at the Annandale Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale, with Fr. Victor Valencia as the Celebrant. Pallbearers were Randy, Doug, Jason, John, Kristina, Stacy and Tyler Wurm and Tana Wold. Music for the service was provided by the St. Ignatius Music Ministry. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends called after 9 a.m., Tuesday, at the church.
Victor Lyle Erickson, age 77, of Maple Lake passed away on Tuesday August 23, 2011, at New River Medical Center of Monticello following a courageous battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 27, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church, 1001 East 7th Street, Monticello, with Fr. Tony VanderLoop officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery of Monticello. Visitation will be Friday evening, August 26, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, 250 East Broadway, Monticello. Further visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Saturday.
Marty Francis Michaelis, age 28 of Monticello, disappeared on August 5, 2011, while tubing in the Mississippi River and was recovered near Otsego on Thursday, August 18, 2011. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Silver Creek, 11390 Elliot Avenue NW, Maple Lake. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church. Rev. Dave Fretham will officiate. There will be a private interment.
Marty was born on April 26, 1983, in Monticello to James and Marcia (Dirkswager) Michaelis. He grew up in the Monticello and Becker areas. He worked in the construction industry. Marty enjoyed fishing, playing cards, riding bike and camping.
Robert Kolasa, age 56, of St. Michael died unexpectedly Monday, August 15, 2011, at his home.
A Memorial Service was held at 4 p.m., Thursday, August 18, at the Peterson Chapel, 300 Main Street North in St. Michael. Pastor Jodi Barry conducted the service. A visitation was held on Wednesday, August 17, from 4-8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel with further visitation Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Interment was in Hanover City Cemetery.
