Young Readers Storytime

Boone and Lisa are enjoying a story read to them by Ellie Ogram and Grace Ronnenberg. Books with Boone takes place on Thursdays at 10 a.m. at The Maple Lake Library.

On Monday,  August 4, Young Readers Storytime was all about... Pirates!  We read two silly stories about a little boy who finds out being a pirate isn't all it's cracked up to be.  We then made a pirate craft, found out why a pirate wears a patch, and played with some "hidden treasure" play dough.  Next week's story time will be our last of the summer. Please come join us on Monday August 11th at 10 a.m. at the Maple Lake Library!

Minnesota kids read Minnesotan books

The first was Phyllis Root’s "Rattletrap Car,” a silly story about a trip to the beach with a car that just won't "Go, Go, Go" that kept them giggling.
They used their imaginations to show how to get to the beach with everything from an acorn car to bunkbeds.
The second story was Mary Casanova’s "One-Dog Can-oe,” a funny story about a little girl who ends up with all kinds of critters along for a canoe ride.
