With fall just around the corner, students try to enjoy their last days of summer by sleeping in and relaxing. However, starting on August 16, the Maple Lake Irish volleyball program was up at the crack of dawn ready to begin the 2010 volleyball season.

| Cross country hosts Ney Park meet |
It is nearing the end of summer and while most high school students are taking advantage of these last days to sleep in late while they still can, the opposite is true for one group of dedicated individuals. Every morning, members of the Maple Lake cross country team roll out of bed at the crack of dawn, pull on their running shoes and head over to Ney Park to hit the trails

| Football team has 'Great Expectations' |
Just like the Charles Dickens’ novel where a young man turns youth and adversity into maturity and eventual success, the 2010 Irish football team is hopefully up to doing the same. With 23 letter winners, 10 offensive starters and seven defensive starters returning for the 2010 season, and with senior and junior maturity rearing its head, expectations are running high in Irish country.
