In early August, electronic items were reported stolen from cars in the Ramsey Lake Heights neighborhood. Last week, an increase in grafitti painted on the grain elevator structures in downtown Maple Lake was reported, along with damage to the interior of the buildings.
Increased DWI enforcement patrols across Minnesota and the nation will continue through Labor Day. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) Office of Traffic Safety reports the last two weekends in August and Labor Day weekend have been in the top 11 deadliest weekends for alcohol-related crashes over the last three years — resulting in 29 deaths.
