Juanita Haack, Burlington, IA
Juanita Haack, 87, of Burlington, Iowa and formerly of Mankato, Minnesota, died Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Great River Hospice House in Burlington, Iowa. The body has been cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at Woodland Hills Funeral Home,1605 Woodland Ave. in Mankato, MN, on Friday, September 3, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one-half hour before the service.
Born March 4, 1923, in Greenbush, MN, she was the daughter of Lewis and Anna (Betsy) Fuller. On February 11, 1949, she married Paul F. Haack in Mankato. She worked as an administrative secretary for the military during WWII, as a cosmetologist in her home-based beauty salon, The Suburban, in Mankato and as an educator in the Madelia Minnesota Public School System. Juanita was a graduate of the Mankato Beauty School and Mankato State College. She contributed to her community as a Master Gardener, by volunteering as a foster parent and by playing piano for area nursing homes and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Minneapolis. 
Survivors include two sons, John (Jack) Haack of Maple Lake and Jerry Fuller of Mesa, AZ; one daughter, Joy (Rick) Swanson of Burlington, IA; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jack and Edwin; her husband, Paul; and her great-grandson, Paxton Warner.

Donald E. Anderson, Elkhart, IN
Donald E. Anderson 85, of Elkhart, IN, formerly of Annandale, MN, and Eldora, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart.  
Memorial services were at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 27, at Faith Lutheran Church, Harcourt, with Pastor Julian Swanson officiating. Burial was at Lost Grove Cemetery, Harcourt, with military graveside rites by the Greenfield-Hartquist American Legion Post #699. Visitation was at 10 a.m., Friday, at the church. 
Donald E. Anderson was born of Swedish descent to Clem and Ethel Berglund Anderson on Oct. 17, 1924, at Harcourt, Iowa. He graduated from Harcourt High School. Don served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, where he was a member of the “Flying Tigers.” He served in the China-Burma-India Theater, piloting both P-40’s and P-51’s.  He flew multiple excursions of the “HUMP.” Don worked in agricultural sales for most of his life. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, and the VFW, where he served as commander of several posts. 
Don is survived by his wife, Vicky; daughter, Kristine (Fred) Roetker of Elkhart; and son, Martin (Kim) Anderson of Vining, MN; granddaughters, Sheridan (Matthew) Phelps, Erin Roetker, Mara Braaten, and Danielle Anderson; sisters, Delores Soppeland of Boulder, CO, and Darlene (Dick) Hade of Ames.  He was preceded in death by his son, John; his parents; and brother, Dale.

Jeffrey Scott Colbenson, age 34, of Maple Lake died Sunday, August 22, 2010, in Clearwater Township, Wright County, as a result of an airplane crash.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2010, at Faith Lutheran Church, 12449 Clementa Ave. NW, Monticello, with Rev. Jim Tetlie officiating. The pallbearers will be Dave Roden, Chris Drossel, Ritchie Johnson, Steve Langanki, Aaron Vetsch, Kevin Davidson, Dude Zoller, and Todd Borell.  The organist will be Sandy Repke. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake, and Friday one hour prior to services at the church.
Jeffrey Scott Colbenson was born June 8, 1976, in Buffalo to Gregory and Gloria (Gramsey) Colbenson and in 1994 graduated from Monticello High School. He worked construction for CS DuBois and enjoyed doing construction projects on his own, the backyard fish pond, the outdoors, snowmobiling out west, camping, and fishing. Jeff was engaged to be married to Beth Blizil this Saturday, August 28.
He is survived by his fiancée, Beth Blizil, and their son, Carter Matthew Colbenson of Maple Lake; parents, Greg and Gloria Colbenson of Monticello; brothers, Joseph (Nicole) and their daughter, Anna, of Monticello, Jason of Clarissa; grandmother, Eleanor Jean Colbenson of Annandale. His grandparents, Milford Colbenson and Virgil and Deloris Gramsey, preceded him in death.

Claris A. Crotton, Sauk Rapids
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids for Claris A. Crotton, who died on Sunday at Ridgeview Place, Sauk Rapids. Rev. John Kroschel will officiate and burial will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Friends and relatives may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Claris was born to the late Elmer and Mabel (Prall) Minar in White Rock, SD. She married Irving C. Crotton on August 20, 1949, in Brainerd. Claris taught Home Economics in Browns Valley, MN, and Maple Lake, retiring in 1977. Claris and Irving moved to Texas in 1990 and Sauk Rapids in 2002. Claris enjoyed sewing, baking, crafts, knitting and the Minnesota Twins.
Claris is survived by nephew, Barry Peterson; brother-in-law, Gordon Peterson; nieces, cousins and friends. Lois A. Yendrzeski, age 83, of Annandale died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the St. Cloud Hospital due to a vehicle accident.
Visitation was at 9:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2010, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale. Fr. Richard Leisen officiated. The music for the service was provided by the St. Ignatius Music Ministry. Interment was at 2:00 p.m., Monday, at Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis.
 Lois Amanda Yendrzeski was born September 5, 1926, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Orville Bernard and Angela Josephine (Brandt) Giese. She married Edward Joseph Yendrzeski on June 14, 1947, in St. Paul and after 44 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on June 19, 1991. She lived in Minneapolis until moving to Maple Lake in 1985 and then Annandale in 2000. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women and was a former member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Minneapolis, and St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy (Shirley) of Annandale and Jeffrey of Minneapolis; sisters, Irene (Donald) Jackson of Klamath Falls, OR, Florence Nyland of Menahga, Dorothy Nyland of Lakeville; brother, Robert (Judy) Giese of Glencoe; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; daughter, Patricia Hegland; sister, Evelyn Schultz; and brother, William Giese.

Francis "Bud" Pribyl, age 88 of Maple Lake, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at his daughter's home with his family at his side.
 Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake.  Fr. David Hennen and Deacon Mike Medley officiated. The pallbearers were Mark Pribyl, Gorden Heaver, Steven Pribyl, Justin Pribyl, Adam Schnabel, Russell Stuhr, Patrick Pribyl, Christopher Pribyl, Taylor Schnabel. Music for the service was provided by Marge Pavlik, organist, Allison Totz, soloist, and St. Timothy's Resurrection Choir. Burial was in St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery, Maple Lake.  Friends called from 4-8 p.m., Friday, and 9-10:15 a.m., Saturday, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Parish prayers were at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. 
 Francis Justin ‘Bud’ Pribyl was born September 17, 1921, in Buffalo, to Frank and Elizabeth (Lammerding) Pribyl. Bud graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1939. He was united in marriage to Annette Dorothy Krautbauer on October 8, 1947, at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Monticello. Bud lived his entire life in the Maple Lake area, mostly working on his farm. He was also a co-owner of Progressive Dairy in Maple Lake, a manufacturer and distributor of frozen dairy products. Bud was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Wright Saddle Club, Catholic Foresters, and Father O'Brien Council Knights of Columbus #3613. Bud enjoyed horses, working on the farm, and the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Annette, of Maple Lake; children, David (Julie) Pribyl of Maple Lake, Alan (Sally) Pribyl of Burnsville and Connie (Steve) Schnabel of Buffalo; grandchildren, Mark, Gorden, Vickie, Steven, Anna, Courtney, Shaelee, Justin, Patrick, Christopher, Nichole, Russell, Adam, Jessica and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Zachery, Trevor, Porter, Jacqueline, Gage, Kade, Jonathan, Christopher, Susie, Joseph, Ty, Kelsey, JuliAnna, Danica, Josie, Emma, Madison, Jeffrey, Tate, Daric, Toby, Aiden and Nathan; siblings, John "Jack" Pribyl of Annandale and Mary Gruenhagen of Owatonna. Bud is preceded in death by his son, Frankie, on July 25, 1978, and brothers, Vernon and Raymond.
