Moose submit to Sartell, ruin Rogers

The Monticello-Annandale-Maple Lake boys hockey team fell 7-2 to Sartell-St. Stephen, Tuesday, Jan. 3, in Monticello then defeated Rogers 3-2 on Saturday, Jan. 7, on the road.
Sartell started scoring early in the first period with a Jack Hennenmann goal assisted by Spencer Meier. The Sabres’ scored again 11 minutes in to make the score 2-0. Charlie Voller got the Moose on the score board shortly after with assists by Troy Dahlheimer and Nick Zwack to narrow the gap.
The Sabres quickly answered with another goal to end the period with a 3-1 lead.
Sartell put two more goals past the Moose goalie in quick succession. Ben Ward answered for the Moose with a Zwack assist.
